Discount Tire/America’s Tire has partnered with Nokian Tire to offer Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 and Hakkapeliitta 7 SUV tires.

Available exclusively at Discount Tire locations, the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 and 7 SUV tires are engineered to deliver performance and confident control in severe winter weather.

The Hakkapeliitta 7 and 7 SUV features a rapeseed oil-enhanced tread compound and a dense 3D sipe pattern, to providing traction in harsh winter weather, Discount Tire said.

The Hakkapeliitta 7 also has a directional tread design for rapid steering response.

The Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 and 7 SUV is available in 64 different sizes, from 13- to 22-inch wheel diameter.

Yokohama Rubber held a groundbreaking event on April 15 for its new consumer and light truck tire plant at the Alianza Industrial Park in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. The company said the event was well attended by a crowd of state and local officials, as well as management from Yokohama companies, including YRC Chairman and CEO Masataka Yamishi; Yokohama Corporation North America (YCNA) CEO Shinichi Takimoto; and Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC) President and CEO Jeff Barna.
