Dealer Tire, a Cleveland-based tire distributor, has been named a 2018 “Top Workplace” in Northeast Ohio by the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Companies were selected for the honor based solely on the results of an associate feedback survey administered by an independent research firm. This was the third year that Dealer Tire took part in the Plain Dealer survey and the second year in a row it was named a “Top Workplace.” In 2016, the company was named a “Workplace Achiever.”

Some of the highlights for Dealer Tire in the 2018 Top Workplaces survey included:

  • Dealer Tire ranked 8th out of 25 large companies. In 2017 the company was ranked 26th out of 50 mid-sized companies.
  • More than 1,400 companies were invited to participate in the survey, and 150 were selected as top workplaces.
  • 35% of a company’s employees must take part in the Top Workplace survey to be considered as a possible award winner; 81% of Dealer Tire’s employees in Northeast Ohio completed the survey.

“We’re happy to be named a top workplace once again because associate engagement is an important focus for us,” said Scott Mueller, partner and CEO of Dealer Tire. “Insights gained from our own internal surveys and other assessments enable us to develop the benefits, activities, communications and work environment that help us attract, develop and engage our talented associates.”

Dealer Tire has approximately 500 associates in Northeast Ohio and more than 1,300 across the U.S.
