Police and fire officials are investigating a suspicious Sept. 25 fire that leveled a Crossett, Ark., tire dealership.
Martin’s Tire & Auto was totally destroyed in the fire, but owner Bobby Martin’s well-placed surveillance cameras were able to provide investigators with a look at the suspect responsible for setting the fire.
And left behind in the store’s dumpster was a shirt commonly worn by welders. The shirt had a stitched name badge with “M. Johnson” on it, and investigators are looking for the uniform company that supplied the shirt.
Investigators say the suspect didn’t act alone, but they don’t have a motive yet for the crime. The 31-year-old business suffered at least $200,000 in damage.
