Deadline Approaching For Booking TIA Host Hotel

The Tire Industry Association is reminding its members that the deadline for booking a hotel room at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, the TIA host hotel for the Global Tire Expo at the SEMA Show, is approaching and only a limited number of rooms are still available. The SEMA Show will be held Tuesday, Nov. 4 to Friday, Nov. 7, with TIA’s pre-show events taking place Monday, Nov. 3.

The room rate in the Roman Tower is $215 and the final cut-off date for the room block is September 19.

Call 800-221-3531, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (EDT), to reserve a room by phone. Mention TIA to get a conference room rate. Attendees may also make hotel reservations online.

Yokohama Rubber holds groundbreaking for Mexico tire plant

The facility is set to begin production in early 2027 with a planned annual output of five million tires.

Yokohama Rubber held a groundbreaking event on April 15 for its new consumer and light truck tire plant at the Alianza Industrial Park in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. The company said the event was well attended by a crowd of state and local officials, as well as management from Yokohama companies, including YRC Chairman and CEO Masataka Yamishi; Yokohama Corporation North America (YCNA) CEO Shinichi Takimoto; and Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC) President and CEO Jeff Barna.
