Continental Tire Kicks Off New Season of ‘What’Cha Got’

TVshowSeason 3 of the short-format series, “What’Cha Got,” presented by Continental Tire and hosted by WeatherTech SportsCar Championship driver, Townsend Bell, premieres Sunday, July 24. Airing on FOX and FOX Sports 1 as part of the “Soccer Sunday” lineup, the weekly series showcases 14 of soccer’s top names, taking players from the field to the track, competing on a closed-circuit autocross course.

“This year’s batch of players was extremely competitive,” said Travis Roffler, director of marketing for Continental Tire. “This is our third season and I think some of these guys have been practicing because they definitely put those Continental tires to work. This may be our best season yet!”

Chicago Fire goalkeeper, Sean Johnson, in 2014 snatched the keys to a Lamborghini and former D.C. United midfielder, Perry Kitchen, took the honors in 2015. This season, seven participants from the east and seven from the west will be competing to win a year-long lease of a 2016 Audi R8 fitted in Continental’s ultra-high performance tire, the ContiSportContactTM 5P.

“We are testing the driving skills of a whole new round of players competing on our most challenging course yet,” said Bell. “It should be entertaining as we introduce new track features like a slalom and jump!”

“What’Cha Got” will feature a different participant each week with the finale airing in December. This season’s roster includes:
Luis Robles – New York Red Bulls
Chance Myers – Sporting KC
Eric Wynalda – FOX
Steven Birnbaum – D.C. United
Ray Gaddis – Philadelphia Union
Brek Shea – Orlando City SC
AJ DeLaGarza – LA Galaxy
Ethan Finlay – Columbus Crew SC
Luke Mulholland – Real Salt Lake
Zach Loyd – FC Dallas
Juan Agudelo – New England Revolution
Fatai Alashe – San Jose Earthquakes
Chris Korb – D.C. United
Andrew Wenger – Houston Dynamo
