Continental Recalls Certain Conti Hybrid HS3 Tires

Continental Tire the Americas, LLC is recalling certain Conti Hybrid HS3 because they may have cords visible through the inner liner.

Continental Tire the Americas, LLC is recalling certain Conti Hybrid HS3 tires, size 11R22.5 LI 146/143, Load Range H with DOT codes A33TKWUY 0818 through A33TKWUY 1318.

The tires may have cords visible through the inner liner, according to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA). Tires that have cords visible through the inner liner can have sudden air loss, causing a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash, the NHTSA said.

Continental will notify owners, and dealers will provide replacement tires, free of charge, according to the NHTSA. The recall started last month. Owners may contact Continental customer service at 1-800-726-7113.

Cosmo Tires to include 40,000-70,000 mileage warranty on all PLT tires

Cosmo will continue its portfolio expansion later this year when it launches its new Gripit X/T, Rockit R/T, and Cosmo Kurrent.

Cosmo Tires, distributed by Tire Group International, has introduced changes to its mileage warranty and road-hazard programs which will now feature a mileage warranty of 40,000-70,000 miles for all passenger and light truck tires offered.

Now, all passenger and light truck tires carry Cosmo’s road hazard and mileage warranty ranging from 40,000-70,000 miles," said Dominick Montouri, chief strategy officer of Tire Group International, said.
