Days at Dawson Tire & Wheel are anything but typical for Chief Financial Officer Carmen Ackerman.

Since joining the team in 2013, on any given day Ackerman may be collaborating with other Dawson employees, doing financial modeling or working with the financial team to develop new projects.

“I can always look forward to something new,” says Ackerman. “We are a dynamic, innovative and energetic company and I am grateful for the opportunity to provide value, learn and continually grow.”

Ackerman says that she loves the tire industry because it provides an ever-changing challenge. To keep up with it all, she says she enjoys reading personal development and business leadership books.

“My next goal is a course study and certification in strategic planning,” says Ackerman.

In the future, Ackerman hopes to continue her learning and connect with new people, as well as potentially teach in some capacity.

Fun Fact: Ackerman enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, especially when it means enjoying the sunshine whenever possible.
