Bridgestone Americas has reached an agreement to divest its Venezuelan subsidiary, Bridgestone Firestone Venezolana, to the Corimon Group.
The subsidiary will be renamed Alice Neumáticos de Venezuela, a company managed by the Corimon Group.
The divestiture of Bridgestone Firestone Venezolana is part of a “strategic decision to prioritize Bridgestone’s growth and investment in other Latin American markets,” the tiremaker said.
Bridgestone’s Venezuelan operations were deconsolidated from Bridgestone Americas last year, so the divestiture will have no financial impact on the company, it said.
