Bridgestone Retail Operations has named Jamie Bullis as its BSRO/National Institute for Automotive Service (ASE) Master Automobile Technician of the year. Bullis is the second female technician to receive the honor in 30 years of competition (among more than 1,000 recipients).
“Jamie exemplifies the culture of innovation, dedication, and world-class automotive and customer service we strive to embody in our stores,” said Stu Crum, BSRO president. “Her leadership, high ethical standards and the professional demeanor she carries with her in all aspects of her day-to-day work make her a very deserving recipient of this prestigious recognition.”
The ASE Master Automobile Technician of the Year award recognizes a technician for his or her outstanding individual achievements, including top ASE test scores, on-the-job excellence and community service, Bridgestone said.
Bullis works at a Firestone Complete Auto Care location in Minnetonka, Minn. She joined the company in 2006 after earning an associate degree in automotive technology at Dakota County Technical College. She currently works as lead technician. She also is an Automotive ASE Master Technician with L1 certification, and has received numerous customer service and productivity awards.
In addition to her work, Bullis is a proud mother and an active member in her community. She volunteers with Toys for Tots, participates in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and assists in the local Loaves and Fishes program.
Bullis was honored during the annual ASE Fall Board Meeting and Awards Banquet in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. During the banquet, an additional 47 technicians from across the automotive industry were recognized.
