At next week’s Auto Salon in Geneva, Apollo Tyres is unveiling its latest UHP summer passenger car tire.
Known as the Aspire 4G, the new range will be available in W and Y speed ratings. Further details will be available following the tire’s official launch on March 7.
The tiremaker also reports strong performance from its 3G Maxx in recent tests carried out by Germany’s ADAC. A total of 30 tires were tested by the motoring organization, 15 in size 165/70R14T and 15 in size 205/55R16V, and the Apollo tire was rated fourth overall in the first of these two categories. The ADAC described the 3G Maxx’s performance as “very balanced, full marks in the wet.”
Finally, the Indian company says the Apollo brand’s European market coverage will soon be extended; plans are now underway to enter the Swiss, Austrian and Danish markets. The Apollo range of passenger car and 4×4 tires are already sold in the U.K., Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. (Tyres & Accessories)
