Advance Professional Driven Gets a VIN Scan Mobile App

Advance-vin-scanAdvance Professional Driven by Carquest launched a mobile VIN scan app designed to “simplify business” for its commercial customers, according to the company.

The Advance Professional VIN Scanner, available for iOS or Android devices, captures a vehicle’s detailed description when scanning a VIN barcode and uploads the decoded information into a shop’s Advance Professional online account.

Existing Advance Professional commercial customers log in to the app using their Advance Professional online account credentials. The app uses the mobile device’s camera to scan VIN barcodes, capturing vehicle descriptors including year, make, model and engine. This vehicle data is simultaneously uploaded to a shop’s Advance Professional online account, simplifying the parts ordering process, the company said.

Shops can store information from recently scanned vehicles within the app and also connect with an Advance Professional Parts Pro.

The Advance Professional VIN Scanner is available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for Android.
