A.C. Milan and Toyo Start 2014-15 Season

Milan during the 2014-2015 Serie A Italian professional football league season, Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. has announced that it will start a series of branding initiatives focused on showcasing the soccer team in order to expand its business globally.

Toyo launched a drawing campaign from Aug. 13 through Aug. 29 that gave away official A.C. Milan smartphone covers to 100 winners in celebration of the start of Serie A league play. The campaign received around 1,900 entries.

Toyo also plans to recruit 11 Toyo Tires reporters for the Milan Derby, in which participating fans will attend games and provide firsthand reports of the Milan Derby with Inter Milan on Nov. 23.

The Dec. 14 match with Napoli will be a “Toyo Tires presents” match sponsor day. For this match, the Toyo Tires brand will be on display at San Silo Stadium, A.C. Milan’s home venue.

According to the company, Toyo will also aggressively utilize content featuring A.C. Milan in its advertising material. In addition to developing and launching a collection of original novelty items for its customers, the company is also producing video content that will highlight A.C. Milan’s star players.

A.C. Milan activities and match results will also be updated on the company’s Facebook page and its “On and Off The Field” Tumblr page.
