Techking has upgraded its ETFN pattern in size 12.00R24 for on-/off-road service truck applications.

The new tire is named ETFN U, and Techking said it increased the tire’s bead section thickness by 15% and the number of bead wires used by 30%. The tread compound was also enhanced for cut/chip and heat resistance, the company claimed.

“The original design ETFN has been working very well with normal load condition,” Techking said. “However, with heavier-than-standard load conditions, especially when the tire is used on the rear axle of the trailer, it was observed that there are a few bead cracking issues – a typical tire symptom for over-loading. With this background, the Techking engineering team developed ETFN U.”

Techking said that it will “gradually upgrade all its truck tire line through launching the ‘U’ line.”
