Industrial tire producer Mitas has introduced a line of new earthmover tires that extends its current sizes in its ERL/ERD tire lines by 30%.
The new ERL/ERD-40 tires feature a large surface area to improve tread life, while the cut-resistant ERL-50 tread is designed for rocky conditions, the tiremaker said. The entire radial ERL/ERD line offers a steel-enforced carcass and steel breakers.
“Each off-road surface requires its own specific tread design and functionality,” said Petr Hala, product manager. “Mitas now makes specific tires for machines operating in these demanding conditions, including gravel and rock quarries.”
The new tires are produced in the Czech Republic and are available for sale worldwide. Mitas added its ERL tires are designed for loader and grader machinery, while its ERD line is geared toward transport vehicles, including wheel loaders, dozers and graders, dumpers and scrapers.
