Love’s Travel Stops is donating $25,000 to the American Red Cross’ Louisville, Ky., Regional Chapter to help communities in the Southern Indiana and Kentucky areas struck by tornadoes on March 2.
Several of Love’s own employees in Memphis, Ind., were affected by the severe storm damage, losing their homes and property, according to the company. Many of those employees, Love’s said, pitched in with in the community to help others in need, and the company worked with the Red Cross to serve hot meals to local residents.
“We are fortunate that our employees remained safe during the tornados throughout the Midwest last week,” said Tom Love, president and CEO. “Our hearts go out to those who were affected by these devastating storms. The dedication and compassion Love’s employees have shown during this great time of need in their community is a true testament to their character, and I am proud to say they work for Love’s.”
