Jack Williams Tire Co. launched a fundraiser at its newest location in Wysox, Pa., to help raise funds for a local food pantry that suffered flood damage during September's Tropical Storm Lee.
The Wysox location raised an additional $1,047 for T.A.C.O, Towanda Area Christian Outreach, which is currently undergoing repairs after the flooding.
Since donating $500 to T.A.C.O Food Pantry during the Wysox location’s grand opening in November, the entire staff there committed to donating an additional $1 for every tire they installed for the remainder of 2011.
“It’s rewarding, but most importantly, exciting, each and every time we are able to give back to the community,” said owner Bill Williams. “The destruction of September’s Tropical Storm Lee devastated many homes and business and at a time where many need the help to repair and rebuild, we are always happy to lend a helping hand.”
