L-Ray, a maker of non-destructive testing equipment to the tire and retreading industry, has added a new model to its Differometric Tire Analyzers. The new MDA-48 series machines will use the same fast, simple Differometric technology, but in a manual load/unload, two-camera configuration, with a base price of under $100,000. The basic MDA-48 machines will provide crown and partial sidewall anomaly and separation detection, with a four-camera, bead-to-bead option available. The MDA-48 series machines will accommodate all automotive, light and heavy truck tire sizes (up to 46-inch outside diameter), including super wides.
