Valvoline, a brand of Ashland Inc., now offers an acid-free wheel and tire cleaner that the company said is designed to deliver the performance of an acid-based cleaner but comes as a safer, acid-free alternative. New spray-on Car Brite XTR Wheel & Tire Cleaner safely and effectively removes road grime, brake dust and petroleum-based residue from wheels and tires, the maker said. In addition to being acid-free, the product also is considerate of the environment by being VOC-compliant, phosphate-free and NPE-free.
