A Brooklyn, N.Y., tire dealer was shot and killed on Nov. 20 in what police are investigating as a botched robbery.
According to conflicting reports, the gunman visited the Bushwick Tire Shop at around 11:35 a.m., asking for hubcaps. Shop owner Carlos Rosario, 58, reportedly asked the man to leave, but instead he was shot three times.
Other reports said that a Bushwick Tire employee was with Rosario, but left to get coffee just after the gunman arrived. Family members said they think it was a robbery because Rosario usually carried a large wad of cash in his pocket.
Reports said that the store is usually not open on Sunday, but Rosario decided to open up because the weather was good.
Police are investigating, and received a number of descriptions and leads on the suspect.
