In 2010, LT-Metric tire distribution to mass merchants decreased 2% from 2009's 1.92 million units shipped. Tire company-owned outlet distribution grew from 3.3 million units (or 12% of the market) in 2009 to 4.07 million units in 2010, a number that represents 14% of the market.
The percentages to independent tire dealers and "others" remained the same from year-to-year. Overall, LT-Metric shipments were up, with 29.1 million units shipped in 2010 vs. 2009's 27.48 million.
