Perfect Equipment Inc. is phasing out European OE lead-style adhesive weights and replacing them with the zinc adhesive weights now used by many European carmakers. This change will help both distributors and dealerships comply with current non-lead legislation and the impending national lead ban, the company said. The CUZ Zinc 5 gram – 60 gram lower profile weights VW and Audi use will replace the CU/CUC Lead 5 gram – 60 gram weights, while the standard profile RUZ Zinc 5 gram – 60 gram weight used by BMW, Mercedes Benz and Volvo will replace RUC/CP/CPC Lead 5 gram – 60 gram weights.
