Where Dealers Get Consumer Tires

In 2010, more dealers bought consumer tires directly from tire manufacturers - 30%, compared to roughly 17% in 2009. They bought less from private brand marketers (10.5% in 2009 vs. 4% in 2010) and warehouse distributors (68.7% in 2009 vs. 63% in 2010).
