How Should Government Help?

President Obama recently announced a new emphasis on helping small business by shifting bank bailout money to
programs designed to assist entrepreneurs survive and grow. So what should the president do? If you had the chance, what would you recommend be done to help small businesses? Tell us what you’d say in the comment section below.

Close IRS, OSHA and EPA. Eliminate Federal manufacturing and energy(fuel)mandates,eliminate minimum wage, etc. Bottom line: less government and more freedom.

It is a simple solution to increase business profitability, reduce tax on businesses, specifically small businesses. However in general business related taxes should be reduced. The corporate tax rate in the United States is already nearly 40%, and just about the highest worldwide.



The vast expanse (and expense) that is our government chokes the private business and private citizen to cents, not dollars. We should have the chance to get into business and not have our operating profit margins destroyed to zero percent by the government. Why do you think most small businesses fail? Lack of capital, and that has a lot to do with our high business tax rates.

Bank bailout money is a waste. Especially, when executives are still getting bonuses and will again this year from taxpayers like us. I say give small businesses tax breaks or incentives to keep health care/benefit packages down. Stop wasting money on foreign wars and work on our own economy.

I don't want any money from the administration. There is no such thing as a free lunch. The previous bandaids are going to cost our country for generations to come. Focus on the core problems and get our country back on track.

MAKE SURE THE BANKS ACTUALLY LOAN MONEY. HE STARTED A 100% GUARANTEED SBA PROGRAM THAT NO BANKS WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN. OR AT LEAST NONE IN MY TOWN. HOW ABOUT A STIMULUS CHECK FOR SMALL BUSINESS? MY BUSINESS IS STILL MAKING A PROFIT DESPITE HAVING HALF THE SALES WE DID LAST YEAR. I JUST NEED SOME HELP TO GET NE TO BETTER TIMES. OR HOW ABOUT SEND A STIMULUS CHECK OUT TO THE PEOPLE OF THE U.S. STOP BAILING OUT BIG BUSINESS. IF YOU CAN'T MAKE A PROFIT YOU SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. O BUT WAIT, OUR GOVERNMENT CAN'T EVEN RUN A BALANCED BUDGET.....NEVER MIND MAYBE I SHOULD BE PRESIDENT
