Nova Scotia’s Miller Tire has bought a 25% stake in Tirecraft Canada and will now be the exclusive marketer of the Tirecraft name in Canada’s Atlantic province.

In addition, the deal gives the 10-location Dartmouth, N.S.-based Miller Tire access to access to certain tire brands that “have previously been unavailable or in limited supply in Atlantic Canada.”

Tirecraft Canada is the revived version of national dealer and franchisor Tirecraft Group, which went bankrupt and closed in 2008. Former members revived the name and have built a nationwide marketing group of some 100 Tirecraft-branded stores across Canada.

“The Tirecraft banner and program will bring Miller Tire’s customers improved service, competitive pricing, and greater selection through national cooperation and buying power” said Corey Miller, CEO of the family-owned Miller Tire.
