New CEO Tapped for Apollo Vredestein

Luis Ceneviz, currently CEO of Apollo Tyres South Africa, will replace Rob Oudshoorn as CEO of Apollo Vredestein B.V., effective Jan. 1, 2013.

Oudshoorn, who has decided to leave the company to join the executive board of Dutch company Pon Holdings, will remain in his current position until Dec. 31.

“We place on record the valuable services Rob has rendered to the company in the last 18 years as CEO of Vredestein Banden B.V. and thereafter as CEO of Apollo Vredestein B.V.,” said Neeraj Kanwar. “Post the Apollo acquisition, Rob has been active in the integration process of both the companies and has played a leadership role in the growth and profitability of Apollo Vredestein BV.”

Ceneviz has more than 30 years of experience in the tire industry, having worked with ATSA and with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in various global locations, including India.

Riaz Haffejee, COO of Apollo Tyres South Africa, will take over as CEO Apollo Tyres South Africa.
