Prometeon Tyre Group’s U.S. subsidiary, formerly known as Pirelli Industrial, launched its new H89 Series at this year`s American Trucking Association Technology & Maintenance Council meeting in Atlanta, Georgia this week.

The Pirelli-branded H89 tire series, which will be progressively available during this year, includes tires for steer, drive and trailer axle and with good mileage, traction and handling in all conditions, Prometeon said. Based on established Pirelli licensed technologies, all tires in the series are tailored for long-haul and regional transport services in the U.S. and Canada. The new line also includes different tread patterns, specifically designed for each fitment axle: H89 all position, H89 drive and H89 trailer in the most popular sizes in the U.S. market (11R 22.5, 11 R 24.5 and 295/75 R 22.5).

The series is the latest collaborative result of the company’s R&D centers in Milan and Sao Paulo, Brazil. It includes Pirelli’s Spiral Advanced Technology for Truck (SATTTM), which provides long service life and high retreadability. Its dual layer tread compound technology (DLTC) with high silica content formulation ensures low heat generation and rolling resistance, which enhances fuel efficiency and longer tread life Prometeon said in a press release. The bead-wrapped chafer (BWC) and fully rubberized cords (FRC) of the belts ensure casing resistance while its pitch sequence and groove geometry prevents stone trapping and improves water evacuation.

All position tires also have RSR technology: a shoulder tread contour optimizing the footprint contact pressure and an even wear in the shoulder area. H89 trailer and drive tires feature M+S marking, which helps ensure grip performance on slippery surfaces.

NRS Brakes has designed galvanized brake pads for the Tesla Model 3 specifically for electric/hybrid vehicle technology.

The company says (ADAS) vehicles demand a higher quality of all parts, especially safety items such as brakes.

As moisture creeps through the porous nature of the friction material, it is compromising the untreated backing plat, NRS Brakes says. Usually, moisture in the friction material is dissipated as heat is created through normal braking routines.
